IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #19-79
Resolution Approving Storm Water Cost Share Agreement between City of Monticello and Laird Enterprises (Unity Point Clinic Building) in the not to exceed amount of $15,000
WHEREAS, The City Code of Ordinances provides that a Cost Share is available for eligible storm water improvement projects, and
WHEREAS, Doug Laird, Laird Enterprises, owner of the building that houses the Unity
Point Clinic has proposed a storm water improvement project to deal with significant water
Flow behind the clinic to the east, much of the water flow coming from the north side of the road in Merinole Addition, and
WHEREAS, Laird estimates the total project cost to be approximately $30,000 and requests a 50% City Cost Share, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the project is eligible for a 50% Cost Share and in consideration of the fact that much of the water proposed to be managed in coming from another development and ditches across the road form this property that a 50%cost share is appropriate with a not to exceed amount of $15,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve a cost share of not to exceed 50% of the approved project costs or $15,000 whichever is less, towards the Storm Water Improvement project proposed by Doug Laird to deal with storm water related issues on the Unity Point property.
