The City of Monticello, Iowa
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #17-68
Resolution to approve the request for a sewer credit for 925 Southhaven Drive, if the amount of the credit exceeded $100.00 as required by City Policy
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the water/sewer usage at the Ron Buscher residence located at 925 Southhaven Drive was higher than normal and was tied to a leak below the floor of his garage, with the water not entering the City Sanitary Sewer System, and
WHEREAS, existing City Policy only allows a credit when it can be shown that the water leak did not flow into the City Sanitary Sewer System and when the calculated credit exceeded $100.00, and
WHEREAS, at the consideration of this Resolution it was not yet known whether the credit to be applied to the Buscher’s account would exceed the minimum amount required, $100 as noted above, and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that Buscher is eligible for the credit if it, when calculated, exceeds the $100 minimum threshold and that his request should therefore be approved subject to that calculation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the request for a sewer fee credit submitted by Ron Buscher in relation to the property located at 925 Southhaven Drive, Monticello, Iowa, with the understanding that no credit will be paid unless that credit, when calculated by the City Clerk’s Office, exceeds the minimum amount required of $100.00
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name and caused the Great Seal of the City of Monticello, Iowa to be affixed hereto. Done this 5th day of June, 2017.
