IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #16-128
Resolution to approve the hiring of Harvey “C.J.” Johnson as Monticello Ambulance Director and related Employment Agreement between the City of Monticello and C.J. Johnson
WHEREAS, The Position of Monticello Ambulance Director has been open since the resignation of Director Brian Hahn, and
WHEREAS, After advertising in Monticello, Anamosa, Cedar Rapids and Dubuque, a committee made up of the City Administrator, the Mayor, and Councilperson Chris Lux, interviewed three candidates for the position, and
WHEREAS, The interview committee, and the City Administrator independently, have determined it appropriate to offer an Employment Agreement to C.J. Johnson, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator has negotiated the terms of an employment agreement with C.J. Johnson, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator recommends that the Employment Agreement as prepared and presented be approved and that C.J. Johnson be hired as the next Monticello Ambulance Service Director, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds it appropriate to follow the recommendation of the interview panel and the City Administrator, and further finds that the terms and provisions of the Employment Agreement are fair and reasonable and should, therefore, be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, The Council hereby authorizes the entry into the Employment Agreement prepared and proposed by the City Administrator, the terms of same being agreed to by C.J. Johnson, and directs the Mayor to execute same on behalf of the City Council.
