The City of Monticello, Iowa
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-69
Resolution to approve wage increase for Ambulance Director Brian Hahn.
WHEREAS, Brian Hahn was hired as Monticello Ambulance Director on or about May 6, 2013, as approved by Resolution #13-44, and
WHEREAS, The employment agreement provided that a wage increase would be considered for approval after one year of employment, and
WHEREAS, Director Hahn has requested an increase in his wage from $47,500 to $50,126, an increase of 5.5% or $2,626.00, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator recommends that the Council approve of the proposed increase, basing said recommendation on the fact that the starting wage was lower than the market rate for a director based upon the fact that Director Hahn did not have past Ambulance Director experience, the first year’s wage representing somewhat of a probationary period, and the fact that he has found Director Hahn’s performance to merit such a raise, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds it appropriate to follow the recommendation of the City Administrator and based thereon, directs that the Ambulance Directors wage be increased to $50,126, with same to take effect with the first payroll including July 1, 2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, The Council hereby approves the new annual salary of the Ambulance Director Brian Hahn in the amount of $50,126, same to take effect with the first payroll including July 1, 2014, with future pay increases to be considered with an effective date of the first payroll in July as well.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name and caused the Great Seal of the City of Monticello, Iowa to be affixed hereto. Done this 16th day of June, 2014.
