IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-87
Resolution authorizing Mayor to execute Letters of Agreement between
City of Monticello and Lansing Brothers Construction
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello has acquired the property formerly home of Oak Street Mfg., as part of a FEMA supported flood buy out of properties in the Kitty Creek corridor along Locust, Washington, and Grand Street in Monticello, and
WHEREAS, With the assistance of ECICOG, a competitive bidding process was undertaken to obtain bids related to demolition and asbestos abatement, those bids being recently received and tabulated, and
WHEREAS, The low bidder was Lansing Brothers Construction, Luxemburg, IA, and
WHEREAS, The City share of the demolition/abatement process is 15%, or $5,707.50
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby authorize and direct the Mayor to execute the Letters of Agreement between the City of Monticello and Lansing Brothers Construction in regard to the demolition of the property formerly home to the Oak Street Manufacturing, located at 511 S. Oak Street, Monticello, in the amount of $38,050.00, with the understanding and acknowledgement that the City share will total 15% of the total approved costs.
