RESOLUTION #13-67
Approving the consideration of Penalties related to House Moving Permit deficiencies
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council finds that the movement of a house into the community by Stephen Intlekofer did not follow the requirements of the Code of Ordinances in all regards, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the most important next step is to have the home moved from the 3rd Street lot to the intended Madalyn Court lot, and finds that if same is not accomplished by August 20th that the Council will consider the imposition of penalties, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor or Council Members shall request that this issue be again placed on the agenda should there be a failure to comply with the 20th deadline or should there be a desire to impose penalties.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 5th day of August 2013, that the Council will consider the imposition of penalties related to the aforementioned house movement permit deficiencies should the house not be moved to the Madalyn Court address as intended or otherwise removed from the City limits by the 20th day of August 2013, with penalty considerations to be placed on a future agenda for consideration at the direction of the mayor or a council person.
