IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #12-71
Resolution to authorize purchase of flooring, installation of flooring, and paint related products for Senior Center.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, via a development agreement with Joel Althoff, owner of the old John McDonald Hospital building, has arranged for the Monticello Senior Center to be located therein, and, as part of that arrangement has found it necessary to see to certain renovations to that area before the Senior Center, and Senior Dining Program moves to that location, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator has obtained two quotes on flooring and a group of seniors that will be using the facility have inspected the flooring options and chosen the option that they wish to have installed, and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds it appropriate to fund the flooring purchase and installation, in addition to the purchase of paint and related materials to see to the repainting of those areas in need of repainting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the purchase and installation of flooring from Monticello Carpet and Interiors in the amount of $6,682.55, and further authorizes the purchase of paint and related materials as proposed with the understanding that the painting will be performed by volunteers.
