IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #12-155
Resolution to approve purchase of repeater related to
narrow-banding compliance requirements.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello is required by Federal Law to upgrade or modify our radio systems to narrow band radios by the 1st of the year, and
WHEREAS, Ambulance Director Tim Malchow has been responsible for the planning related to this upgrade and has determined it appropriate to move forward with a repeater proposed by Graybill Communications in the amount of $6,215.47, and
WHEREAS, The necessary radios will be purchased by each department: Ambulance, Public Works, and Administration, as necessary, with the costs related thereto being absorbed by the respective departmental budgets, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the City is obligated to comply with the narrow banding requirements and further finds that the recommendation of Ambulance Director Malchow should be followed and, therefore, finds that the repeater proposed by Graybill Communications in the amount of $6,215.47 should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Monticello does hereby approve of the purchase of the repeater proposed by Graybill Communications in the amount of $6,215.47.
