IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #11-78
Approving Hangar Space Lease between the Monticello Regional
Airport (City of Monticello) & East Iowa Air, Inc.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated city within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello has been approached by Jim Rohlf as representative of East Iowa Air, Inc., and has requested permission to construct a new hangar at the Monticello Regional Airport, same to be 80’ x 60’ in size and to be located immediately adjacent to and East of the Weber Stone and City of Monticello hangars of identical size, and
WHEREAS, The Monticello Airport Board has considered the request and finds that the construction of a Hangar on the property to be in the best interests of the City and has recommended to the City Council that they approve of the construction of said hangar as well as the entry into a lease agreement with East Iowa Air, Inc., consistent with the lease agreement between the City and Weber Stone, and
WHEREAS, A lease has been prepared, specifically identifying the property involved and the terms associated with said lease, and the City Council finds that same should be approved.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the erection of an 80’ x 60’ Hangar by East Iowa Air, Inc. on the grounds of the Monticello Regional Airport, immediately adjacent to and to and East of the Weber Stone and City of Monticello Hangars, with a site plan to be prepared and approved by the Monticello Regional Airport Board prior to the beginning of construction, and further approves of the lease agreement between the City of Monticello and East Iowa Air, Inc. as proposed, and authorizes the Mayor Pro Tem to execute said lease agreement on behalf of the City Council.
