RESOLUTION #11-41
Approving Storm Water Management cost share between
The City of Monticello and Bill Meyer.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello previously enacted a storm water management ordinance to be used by the City for City storm water related purposes, and/or to be used as a cost share with private property owners on storm water related projects, and
WHEREAS, The City Ordinance provides that the City contribution in a private project may not exceed 50% of that project cost, and
WHEREAS, Bill Meyer has submitted an Application that requests City cost share in the re-construction and re-shaping of the bottom and banks of the 6th Street Ditch as well as the inclusion of engineering fabric and rip-rap where the channel passes through his property, and
WHEREAS, The estimate provides a not to exceed total cost of $10,761, of which one-half, or $5,380.50, would be the maximum potential City Cost, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the project as proposed is an appropriate project for the City to participate in under the storm water management ordinance, and further finds that the City should share in 50% of the project cost when finally invoiced in an amount not to exceed $5,380.50
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 4th day of April, 2011, does hereby approve Bill Meyer’s Application for Cost Share under the City of Monticello Code of Ordinances, and agrees to invest an amount equal to 50% of the project costs as proposed, not to exceed $5,380.50, by payment to Bill Meyer upon his presentation of a receipt for final work completed from B & J Excavating.
