THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #11-122
Accepting and approving Vertical Infrastructure Grant related to FBO hangar/building rehabilitation.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council previously approved of the submission of a Vertical Infrastructure Grant Application with the IDOT, with the purpose of same being the renovation of the Monticello Aviation / FBO Hangar with the understanding that the City would acquire said facility if said grant application was successful, and
WHEREAS, The grant application was approved with the IDOT Aviation Division agreeing to fund 65% of proposed improvements as identified within the Application, not to exceed $65,999, and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the renovations are justified, that the FBO building will be attached to the new Terminal Building, and that the City, as the owner of the facility, will benefit from the improvements, and that said Grant Agreement should be approved.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 30th day of August 2011, that the IDOT Agreement for the Fiscal Year 2012, General Aviation Vertical Infrastructure Program, should be approved, and the Mayor Pro Tem is hereby directed to execute same on behalf of the Monticello City Council.
