Banner Program
Dear business owner, organizational leader, and/or Monticello supporter:
The Monticello Hometown Pride Committee / Downtown Committee are jointly working to return the display of City banners to our community. The current fundraising campaign is seeking a $100.00 sponsorship per banner or $150.00 sponsorship for two banners. You may sponsor banners for your business or organization or on behalf of a business or organization. With the closure of so many small businesses the timing is not great for them to use discretionary funds to sponsor a banner but it may be the perfect time for a supporter of those businesses to sponsor a banner on their behalf. We intend to purchase approximately 100 banners.
We are also planning to purchase a number of metal banners made locally by Tracy Chappell at the Chappell Machine Company and painted by Robert Claussen at Claussen Painting, Media Blasting & Decorative Floor Systems, both businesses being located on 11th Street. These metal banners are more expensive but will last for many years. If you would like to sponsor a metal banner we would request that you denote that on the sponsorship form and increase your sponsorship to $300 per banner. A sample metal banner is hanging in front of the Community Building/City hall and a picture is also set out herein.
We recognize that it has not been a BANNER year, at least not yet, so please consider helping us turn the corner, sharpen up the community, show some community pride, and support our local businesses. Please complete the Monticello Banner Sponsorship Form and return to City Hall. If additional information is needed from you or the sponsored business or organization you or they will be contacted.
Sincerely yours,
Monticello Hometown Pride and Downtown Monticello Committees
